I build backend systems and the infrastructure they run on.
Fall 2026 · BitGo, Palo Alto
I’m a Computational Mathematics student at the University of Waterloo, drawn to the parts of a system nobody sees until they break: queues, schedulers, migrations, and the path a request takes before anyone notices it was slow. Three co-op terms are behind me and a fourth starts this fall at BitGo, working on settlement systems.
So far that has meant replacing a five-second polling loop with an event-driven queue at PlayStation, moving 25M+ records through ETL pipelines at Versaterm, and cutting GraphQL query latency 40% at a Tokyo trucking platform. Outside of work I build things I actually want to use, like WatGuessr, a multiplayer campus guessing game that has carried 750+ players.
